2010 FLAGS OF FREEDOM PARADE

July 3, 2010, employees and family members of Sun Prairie Utilities participated in the Flags of Freedom Parade which was organized by the Sun Prairie High School Band Boosters.

Sun Prairie Utilities has participated in this annual community event for many, many years. This year our entry consisted of one of our line crew trucks, our digger derrick, and walkers handing out candy. This utility supports our community schools and businesses and is proud to participate in these events.

The Flags of Freedom event also has a Marching Band Field Competition in the evening, showcasing the various Mid- America Competing Band Directors Association (MACDBA) marching bands from across the Midwest and Canada, including our own, the Sound of Sun Prairie. Sun Prairie Utilities has a long- time relationship with this field show and helps to sponsor and support the Flags of Freedom Field Competition.

Independence Day is a time to reflect on the freedom and liberties we all possess as American citizens. We join our community of Sun Prairie in this celebration with our own Flags of Freedom. God Bless America.
